Larry Storlie - Underwriter

A graduate of University of Iowa College of Business Administration in 1974. His major was in insurance with minors in accounting and law. Larry is a Private Pilot with ASEL-I ratings. He has flown many of the civil light aviation fleet of aircraft over the past 35 years.

Larry’s military background includes a tour with the USAF Airborne Command & Control Squadron directing air ops. in Vietnam 68-69, then two years as an instructor with the DOD Air Intelligence Ops. School in Denver, CO 69-71.

Larry spent 25 years as first an underwriter then Regional Manager for AVEMCO with the last 22 years in charge of the NW Region including Alaska.

He joined London Aviation Underwriters in 1999 where he works as a desk underwriter specializing in unusual and experimental aircraft risks. He has been an EAA member since 1972 and has attended 18 of the annual conventions in Oshkosh, WI.
